Built in collaboration

Discover how we built the Collection Care System with The National Archives.

The National Archives (TNA) is the official archive and publisher for the UK government, and for England and Wales, holding official records containing 1,000 years of history. Its role is to collect and secure the future of the government record, both digital and physical, to preserve it for generations to come, and to make it as accessible and available as possible. TNA holds over 11 million historical and government records, houses approximately 550 staff and currently welcomes approximately 80,000 visitors per year.

We provided TNA’s Collection Care Department (CCD) with our Collection Care System (nicknamed ‘SID’ by users – Super Integrated System). The cloud-based conservation database allows the CCD to share knowledge, record conservation treatments, carry out surveys, annotate photographs, document loans and exhibitions and produce reports.

We worked closely with the department to gain an insight into the heritage sector and more specifically, conservation and preservation. Working with the Conservation and Preservation team, Digitisation team and Loans and Exhibitions team, has provided us with a sound understanding of cataloguing and the importance of securing the future of both physical and digital records.

Our Low-Code Development Platform provides full flexibility and our system can be configured and customised to meet your requirements.
